Vattenfall is planning to construct a 250-megawatt oxyfuel power station at the Jänschwalde site in Brandenburg within the next decade.

Here, they plan to develop this technology to industrial-scale maturity. Linde will be conducting a feasibility study here, focusing on plant efficiency in particular.

The final step entails construction of a 1,000-megawatt commercial plant in 2020, generating power at competitive prices. Linde Engineering is also conducting a feasibility study for the post-combustion capture process in Jänschwalde.
