Linde AG was involved in the collaborative projects OXYCOAL-AC and COORIVA.
These projects were organised within the framework of the COORETEC programme (COORETEC = CO2 REductions TEChnologies in fossil fuel power plants) run by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
The OXYCOAL-AC project focussed on developing a CO2-free coal-burning process for generating power.
COORIVA was a collaborative effort between the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Linde AG and number of other industry partners. The project’s aims included feasibility studies for a lignite and pit coal-fired IGCC reference power plant to be built from 2015 and equipped with CO2 separation technology. The OXYCOAL-AC and COORIVA projects were concluded in 2007.
