In collaboration with our Chinese joint venture partner, we won a long-term contract from Bayer Polyurethane Ltd. Co. to supply their hydrogen and carbon monoxide needs.
Synthesis gas will be used as feedstock. This gas is extracted by SCCC in an environmentally friendly coal gasification process.
The agreement spans 15 years and involves construction of an on-site facility at the Bayer plant in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in in Caojing. Bayer Polyurethane Shanghai, The Linde Group and Shanghai Coking have also reached an agreement regarding the joint future expansion of capacity at the Bayer plant.
