To clarify the new QHSE policy, the Engineering Division’s management has defined so-called HSE Essentials.
These fundamental core elements for Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) concern, among other things,
central HSE documents that must be completed during the planning phase of every plant engineering project,
HSE requirements for construction sites,
procedure in the event of unacceptable risks for Linde Engineering employees at construction sites not managed by Linde,
use of environmentally friendly technologies,
performance of risk assessments and HSE training,
raising awareness of HSE issues in meetings and discussions.
Healthcare is also an important issue for employees of the Engineering Division.
These Essentials are binding for all the subsidiaries of the Linde Engineering Division. Company managers have a particular responsibility to lead by example, sensitising all employees to the huge importance of QHSE.
Which is why Linde Engineering held HSE workshops at its headquarters and subsidiaries. These sessions provided an opportunity for managers and the Group’s Executive Board to discuss the new QHSE policy and dedicated HSE strategy, as well as their role in its implementation and the importance of visible leadership here.
