Industrial gases are increasingly giving an invisible helping hand to the food industry.

The cryogenic characteristics of liquid nitrogen and carbon dioxide are used for cooling and freezing, tumbling, cutting, mixing and cooling during transport.

Our gases also add sparkle to drinking water and other beverages, at the same time keeping the increasingly thin containers stable and protecting the contents from oxidation. Getting the protective gas mixture right is a key step in maintaining the quality of packaged products.

Linde’s food-grade gases go above and beyond legal regulations and purity requirements for food additives.

They are certified in line with international standards that define food safety management systems. BIOGON®NOCA, for example, is certified in accordance with IFS and ISO 22000. This guaranteed quality reduces the number of checks required at the customer end, which significantly lower costs.
