Effective management of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality is of key importance to all our stakeholders, in particular for customers and employees.
We are committed to continuously improving the quality of our products and services, while at the same time maintaining high levels of occupational safety, health and environmental protection.
The Group SHEQ department is responsible for defining overarching, Group-wide SHEQ goals for our Gases Division. The organisational units, Regional Business Units (RBUs) within the Division are then responsible for putting the measures in place to achieve these goals.
For our Engineering Division, occupational safety, health, the environment and quality have always been top priorities when planning and building plants all over the world. Since the vast majority of the Engineering Division’s customers use the abbreviation “HSE”, the division decided in consultation with the Executive Board to use "QHSE" instead of the “SHEQ” abbreviation usually used throughout the Group. This is not indicative of any shift in value or weighting of the individual elements.
