In the global competition for the best talent, winning well-educated experts, especially highly qualified engineers, is a key factor for success.
We offer talented young professionals a wide range of entry-level opportunities and support programmes in schools and universities. Students have the chance to get to know Linde through an internship or by writing a graduation thesis with the support of company experts. Students can also gain practical experience parallel to their studies through a job in one of our specialist departments. We cooperate with universities and research institutes across the world, seeking to attract qualified graduates to start their careers at the company.
Worldwide, Linde provides training opportunities in various technical and commercial fields. In Germany, for example, we offer training in 25 different careers.
Linde offers a wide range of initiatives designed to continuously develop its employees and to support them in learning and change processes. Our employees have access to classroom-based training, seminars and e-learning programmes to help them achieve their goals. Our focus is on practically oriented learning. Periodic employee performance reviews are one of the tools we use to guide the development of our employees. A Group-wide performance management system has been implemented to measure and evaluate performance.
Our managers have an important mission. Their job is to support and motivate their teams while recognising and seizing the opportunities offered by the cultural diversity and experience of their staff. At the same time, they are role models. Our training programmes for managers help them accomplish this responsibility. Linde University is our way of providing international training and development programmes in the areas of leadership and management. It offers:
Junior Circles and Regional Talent Circles for talented young employees: These programmes help us identify potential managers; support them in developing their interpersonal skills and leadership and management expertise; and encourage long-term loyalty to the company.
Global Talent Circle for middle managers: Linde cooperates with internationally renowned management institutes to deliver learning programmes for this target group.
Global Leadership Development Circle for experienced managers: Participants in this development programme have a great deal of staff responsibility.
Succession planning for the Group’s management team is also a key component of our approach to HR development. The aim is to recognise and nurture potential and to ensure knowledge transfer.
